Empower travelers to go to unusual and obscure destinations

Help potential travelers connect with others

Allow users to access valuable data offline when traveling

User
Needs
SOCIAL
Users want to be able to connect with their friends and easily share itineraries and trips with others.
WEALTH OF INFORMATION
Travelers want to be able to find detailed information about their destinations.
OFFLINE MODE
Travelers often do not have cell phone service when they travel to foreign countries - so it's important to allow people to access their trip information in offline mode.
TRANSPARENT
Users want to see reviews from other users - not from businesses that paid to boost their rating.

Approach
DEFINE
I worked directly with the founders of Trade my Travel to designate project goals and objectives based on user research from informal interviews that we conducted with avid travelers.
DESIGN
My first task was to design an identity that was fun and approachable while also feeling slick and professional. The founders wanted to utilize mainly strokes in the logotype, and wanted to incorporate mountains in some capacity.

After the logo had been completed, I constructed an intensive branding guide and website design (which is a large part of MVP 1).
As this project is still in development, I am currently working with the founders of TMT to create white board sketches, user flows and low-fidelity prototypes that will be used for testing.
REFINE
We will be conducting A/B testing on low fidelity click-through prototypes as well as more comprehensive animated prototypes made with Principle.

Next?
USABILITY TESTING
We will be utilizing mostly low-fidelity prototypes to test our initial wireframes and will then refine our concepts.
BUILD
After fully defining MVP 1 and completing at least one round of usability testing, the development team will be stubbing out basic services and routes for the TMT website.
